May 26, 2016 - Valuable Learning through Ridgetown’s Environmental Management Program Industry Work Placement

Senior Environmental Management student, Lora Craig has recently completed a 4-week industry placement with the Essex Region Conservation Authority; and she says it was a great learning experience. "I learned so much through a variety of different tasks and I broadened my understanding of conservation and soil management. The placement was time well spent!" says Craig.

Students in the Veterinary Technology diploma, the Veterinary Office Administration certificate, and the Performance Horse Handler certificate programs also completed a 4-week industry placement at the end of their academic studies. If student and employer are a good fit, the industry placement may lead to full-time or contract employment for ready to work graduates.
