Nov 25, 2015 - Westag Alumni Mentorship Program - Focus on Networking Skills

At their second session, Class # 2, Westag Alumni Mentorship Program participants focused on the career benefits of developing networking skills and making good first impressions.

Guest speakers, Janice Anderson, OAC alumnus, and local DuPont Pioneer seed dealer, and Jim Campbell, Agris Co-op, General Manager, shared their knowledge and experience with mentees (Ridgetown students) and mentors (Ridgetown Westag alumni).

Mentee, Lora Craig, and mentor, Greg VanEvery, along with the rest of the participants 15432worked in mentee – mentor pairs and identified three individuals each mentee would benefit from getting connected with.

Support from Ridgetown Westag alumni who act as mentors to the students is essential to the program’s success.  Over 20 mentees are paired with close to 20 alumni mentors, and everyone has the opportunity to learn from each other during the five sessions of the program.
