Advanced Standing to Further Your Education

Earn credits towards a University of Guelph OAC Degree

Completing a two-year academic program provides a great practical base for many students to develop an interest in continuing their academic studies. Many graduates will be given advanced standing transfer credits (depending on what program they apply to) when applying to programs of similar areas of study.

Many Ridgetown Campus students decide to continue their studies and give credit to their Ridgetown experience as the motivator for this decision. These students will continue learning by applying to programs of interest such as another diploma program, an applied or undergraduate degree, a specialized certificate, or an industry training opportunity.

"My time at Ridgetown has been a great stepping stone for me to further my education. After completing my diploma in agriculture, I will be pursuing my applied degree in agribusiness. Ridgetown has helped me gain practical experience through many different course offerings and really helped me to find my area of interest. I am looking forward to taking my knowledge gained at Ridgetown to my degree studies."
